What about a community center or church hall? Those tend to be relatively cheap 🙂 or if you have a friend/family member whose home is a litter bigger. Very nice of your father to throw you a party 🙂

ETA: in case thou don’t find a suitable venue, you could change the style of the party to more of an open house. My cousin did that for hers and it worked out rather nicely. She had roughly 150 people come and go through out the night. she provided some food and drinks and other people brought food with them as well so everyone was able to eat. Just an idea 🙂

I’m having the same issue right now! My parents are throwing the party, but we haven’t even selected the date as we need to find a venue first… a cheap venue. Fiance and I live 2 hours away from my parents and his brother, 2 hours from his sister in a different direction, and 1 hour from his parents. Most of my friends are in my hometown, same town as my parents, but my parents house is out… if we held it at our house it’s the longest drive for everyone, so we are not sure what to do. Make everyone drive??

what about a club house ?  or a recreational hall ? maybe  a statepark/beach type of thing ?
