I’m trying to keep my theme cohesive . . . so, here are the escort cards as well as welcome gift bag tags. What do you think? BTW, I’m trying to go for a glamorous, somewhat vintage, romantic style wedding.

You can buy a paper puncher with a design at a craft store like Michael’s. They can be upwards of $10-20, so try to get it on sale or use a coupon. (If you sign up online they will send mailers and such with coupons and store offers. They also give 15% discounts to school teachers.)
The paper I bought from Kelly Paper in Los Angeles, but you can probably buy it online. Really inexpensive….something like 50 sheets for $19.99. It’s nice, thick, card stock. The paper on top is the same, but a lighter weight. I printed all the names on one page. Because the ink didn’t dry (not sure why…it should have, but oh well), I used embossing powder and a high-heat specialty dryer. Then, I cut them out and used double-sided tape (can’t live without) to adhere it.
For the welcome tags, I used a non-embossing ink that I did a ghost stamp (can’t remember what the technique is really called) then used embossing ink for the large W and the small “elcome”. Obviously, I used the same paper punch. Then, I used a small tool to punch a whole in the top to put the ribbon through. If you like, I can try to photograph the steps as I go through . . . let me know. It was really inexpensive but I think will add a really nice touch to the wedding. At least that’s my hope . . .
