You could do tsumami flowers? Smaller ones and bigger ones, you can put a few together to make corsages, etc.

Martha Stewart also has tutorials on the site.  I made our bouts using a pattern from there that looks like roses and felt that I got from a freecycle.  They turned out beautifully!  Of course, I also kinda did my own little thing putting them together, too, kinda using a tutorial and “winging” it.

I am in the middle of making my bouquets and will be starting my bouts this week if I make them ill send you some pictures so you can figure it out.  I followed mrs. lockets tutorial for attaching stems for the bouquets and they look great.  Check out my DIY section for all the flowers I have made.  Hope that helps.  They are super simple just time consuming. I would get on it the sooner the better.
