- Wedding: September 2013
My FMIL used to work in a florist shop, so it was a no-brainer that she would make our wedding bouquets. I have a few special hankies and doilies that I had planned to mix in with fresh flowers.
After thinking about it, and seeing how she made my special pieces into “flowers,” I told her to go ahead and make a mock bouquet. I LOVEEEE it!
**These aren’t the right colors/fabrics/flower sizes/proportions!!**
And while I’m at it.. the bouttonierres will look something like this! (raw cotton, tight/full wrap of copper wire)
Why I didn’t want real flowers:
- They die
- They’re expensive
- They take a lot of chemicals/pesticides to grow
Why I love my flowers:
- They’re made of recycled fabrics (some special, some from thrift shops)
- They’ll never die.
- They require no harsh chemicals!
- They’re handmade by my FMIL
ETA: I wish I knew why they’re sideways 🙁
