I’ve finished a mock up of my favors which will double as escort cards. They are little pouches filled with wildflower seeds. I will obviously be scoring and nicely folding the cardstock when the time comes, but for the mockup I wasn’t too concerned.

I think the concept is darling! I love the little burlap sacks! I’m craving a little more color – is it possible to do your escort cards in a color or add a little design? So far the idea is awesome!

I agree that the idea is great but they’re missing something at the moment… maybe a slightly more decorative place card?

Thanks for the suggestions! This is just a very rough mock up – I happened to have the ivory cardstock laying around.
Trying to decide if I should use tent cards (like is shown in the picture) or just have little tags hanging off the bags. I’ll continue to play around with these.

Nice! Are there instructions with them? (Maybe on the back of the card/tag?)

Yup! Here is the inside of the card (can’t remember where I found the copy):

I would maybe scalop the top of the burlap (it’s not a big deal so wouldn’t bother if it means tearing them all apart) and see if there’s any way to get the string to sinch tighter to poof the top out more (if that make sense). I agree with pp’s suggestions of adding colour or something to the place cards, I would center the text more and add a colour border to match the ties on the burlap. Teeny tiny change that will make them coordinate more. 🙂
ETA: Using an elastic or simple twine to tie the pouches before adding the decorative cord would probably be easier, decorative stuff is very hard to tie tightly in my experience.
