My bridesmaid is doing our flowers (she used to work for a florist) and she said costco; they will deliver it wherever and the flowers are cheap and beautiful.  We’re going to store our flowers in a big walk in fridge =)

I DIY’d my flowers for my wedding and also my brothers! I ordered mine from fiftyflowers.com and wholeblossoms.com Search for a coupon code. I used orchids and hydrangeas for my wedding and we used calla lillies for my brothers.

Once my flowers arrived I processed them and placed them in clean 5 gallon buckets or storage bins with distilled water. I then stored them in a cool dark place – for my wedding this was a bedroom closet at the beach house we rented, for my brothers we used our garage (both weddings were in October).DO NOT put them in the fridge! A florist fridge is designed specifically for that purpose. The common household fridge will ruin your flowers because of the odors and artifical light from the food we store. Your flowers will last much longer being stored in a cool room.

My flowers were delivered Tues before our Friday wedding, so I processed them Weds and changed the water daily. On Thurday evening I started the arranging and bouquets and Friday morning I got up early and did some finishing touches.

I would love to use ranunculus as well! ProFLowers has a sister company called bridedesign where you can order bulk flowers, but they have no ranunculus or peonies.

Another option is doing paper flowers. My mother and I have been researching this for about 2 months. My mom does a lot of scrapbooking and card making. She did great at them! We will be using the paper ranunculus for the bridesmaids and real ranunculus for me. When the flowers my mother made are all put together in a bouquet you cannot even tell they are fake unless you touch them!!
