I’m sorry but this looks difficult difficult lemon difficult, not easy peasy lemon squeazy.
lol I kid but I’m just imagining trying to attach 1000 flowers to this thing and a part of me died. If you made it work, you are a legend thati will always respect 🤣
I have 3 major fails from our wedding, 1. DIYing a flower aisle runner. We ended up paying a florist for real flowers. 2. DIYing faux floral centerpieces, we ended up paying a florist for beautiful floral centerpieces, and 3. DIYing a photobooth, we ended up renting from a photobooth company.
I tried, I failed.
SisterJude : I was considering doing the faux floral centers but somehow that seems more difficult to me than this does, and I’m not sure why other than this is less of the multiple small details? May just resort to candles in center instead to cut costs, or do bud vases with 1-2 real flowers
bowlingallie1989 : I genuinely thought I could make it work. I still don’t really get why I couldn’t make it look good haha!
So my good friend just got married a month or so ago. And her decor was DIY and freaking beautiful, amazing, should be in magazines beautiful. She had a geometrical arch with huge floral decor. All the bridal party had these big gorgeous floral headpieces. It was truly art.
The difference, she had someone who was good at crafting do the DIY. It is possible!
SisterJude : right?? Totally doable!! But the reality is, I’m getting married overseas and not sure where I’d find the time to deal with making this stuff or source the materials and will likely just pay a company 500-700 euros and throw money at the problem to make it go away 😂
Damn, why did you post this?? Now I feel like I need one of these behind our cake table!! And I am marrying someone really handy and my dad is super handy and my mom is super crafty! So we have DIY-ed a lot! I think if I say that I want this my mom will physically choke me!
m197500 : 😂 yes I’m saving furiously to have enough leftover for those situations because there will be some point where I just cannot deal anymore! I will say I’m fortunate that FH has the same philosophy – we are both great bargain hunters and dont want to spend frivolously but we do believe in taking the easy way out in some situations aka spending money and being done with it!
Sunshine024 : duuuuude right? I was thinking to myself “seriously Allie, quit going down the DIY rabbit hole and creating work for your dumb ass” 😂 I’m the more handy one in my relationship I’d say so I’d be on the hook to make this: but the way I see it, it’s like 20 PVC pieces approximately that you cut to size at Home Depot, backer board or felt of some kind, the flower tiles and maybe tacks to hang them? I estimate this as a 2 hour or less job for a handy person. Totally doable, right?!? 😜
Where do you get flower tiles?! I’m so down to make one of these!
mskatie : I’ve seen them on efavormart.com aliexpress.com Etsy etc…they pop up if you google flower tiles or flower wall tiles, etc. about 20 bucks a tile is what I’ve seen and it’ll take a good few to cover a wall this size but still cheaper than renting one!
