I think these are really pretty!  is the ribbon like a see-through ribbon? I can’t tell in the pic 100% but it seems like it is.  If so, I think these would be 10 times more gorgeous in person.

Also, I’ve seen blue roses before, i think they can be created, they just don’t grow in nature.

Sorry, not a fan. Because blue roses do not exist in nature, they always look way too fake to me.

@Thrakena: ah, i didn’t know they were hard to make.  I just remember seeing them at walmart about 10 years ago and thinking “huh, never saw that before” lol

i think what it really comes down to is if you like them or not.  I’m not making my bouquet from real flowers, or even flowers at all.  I’m making mine out of pearl beads and I’m totally happy with it.  thats all that matters.

P.S. can you share the tutorial you used to make these?

I’m not a fan of that kind of ribbon rose. They always look too holly hobby to me. Some fabric flowers look fantastic, though. Try etsy for inspiration.

I think blue ribbon roses will look better than blue living roses. I just saw some blue roses at a flower shop last week and thought they looked way too painted. I think you can make a nice blue boquet out of your ribbon roses. Maybe you can get some silk leaves to add some green.

They are not as bad as I first thought the would be.  If your wedding is more eclectic and fun I think you could pull it off, it’s all about the confidence you show when you carry them.  However I think it would make it more shabby chic if you used both fabric and perhaps ribbon in varrying shades of blue.

I think that your ribbon roses are neat looking, but to me they look like that -ribbons shaped into roses.  I think obviously non-floral bouquet options can be great, but if you would prefer something that looks more natural, I’m not sure this is it.  Some of the other posters have great suggestions, though!

I like it.  But then again I’m a fan of non-traditional bouquets, and am making my own out of paper flowers all with prints on them so that it is clear they are not trying to look like real flowers.  I’d say go for it! But just keep in mind that if you are wearing a white wedding dress and carrying a blue bouquet, the eye will probably go straight to the giant blue blob rather than you.  I’d suggest mixing in some lighter colored ribbon flowers as well.
