So I decided to make my garter set rather than order one off Etsy. I went to Joann’s and bought stretchy lace, vintage looking pearl buttons, rhinestone buttons, and pink satin ribbons. Spent about $10 altogether. I had already had a bag of loose faux pearls, thread and hot glue.
Made the rosettes out of the ribbon, hand stitched everything to the lace, and sewed the ends of the lace together. Used hot glue for the pearls and rhinestone that I put on the rosettes.
The project only took about 1.5 hours, completed while watching modern family and nashville. I think they turned out decent. (also, sorry the pic is huge!)

Very cute! I was thinking about making mine but i’m not that great at sewing so I ended up just buying. But this looks really good!

Thank you! This is the extent of my sewing ability, sadly. 🙂
Thank you! Can’t wait to see how yours turns out!

I made mine with lace from my mother’s dress. I went and bought elastic from Joann’s and then just ran it through the machine. I think it cost me $3.
@futuremrsstraight: I really like how yours turned out they are very cute.
