I am thinking about buying 24 in Eiffle Tower vases from Craigslist. The only problem is that they are frosted and since they are old, some of the frosting has chipped off. I am thinking about making them glitter vases. Has any body done this or have any suggestions on how to do this. I have looked at diy post for smaller votives, but don’t know if it will work for a larger vase. All ideas and pictures are welcome. Thanks in advance ladies!

This sounds like it shouldn’t be too hard, but without pics it’s hard to tell.
Sounds like a job for modge podge + glitter:

@FutureMatara: If you want them to stay frosted, you can probably repair the places where it is messed up!! Assuming they are glass, you can buy a bottle of Armour Etch at Micheal’s (look for those 40% off coupons!), paint it on, let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, then wash off! I use Armour Etch all the time for various projects, but it will only work on glass and mirrors!

They also see stuff to Frost at Micheals in a can. I used it to frost my votive holders that hang from my centertpiece as I was looking for small votives that were frosted and they were too expensive to buy already frosted. Not sure if it will work on your material but you could test a section to see so that you could keep the frosted look (if you wanted to keep the frosted look). The can is like $10 so take a 40% or 50% off coupon with you to cut down on the price.

I would be worried about the glitter bomb you will be when done these! makes usre its a nice day out and shut all your windows so it can’t creap into your house! It sounds like a fun project, good luck
