Being stuck at home for a bit means I’ve had a lot of time on my hands…. so while I am not exactly set on doing my own hair I decided to play around a bit. I tried 2 styles, one a bit more elaborate and the other more classic.
And please share your updo pics (DIY or proffesional)!

I like the one that looks more like a bun.

I love the more classic look!

I love the bun it looks so classy and simple.

The bun one, though a bit looser would look better l think. I should add that you are pretty damn good ar hair!

thank you! Unfortunately looser isnt really an option since I have very fine hair that escapes anything and wont hold a curl to save my life 😂 both style are braided for this reason… keeps them in place!

First of all, WOW. Second of all, how?! You did a phenomenal job. Personally, I like the second option more (the one with less braids). It looks so beautiful!

The second one is better, the first one is a bit messy unless someone else, even a friend ,could clean it up for you the day of.

Holy moly you did that yourself?? They both look amazing, the first one is cool-looking but a little too busy for a wedding look. The second looks beautiful.

LOVE that second one! You’re so talented!!

I’ll put in a vote for the first one – when will you have another opportunity to wear that again? Both are great though!

I love the second! Beautiful!
I like the first too, but I think that style wants to be looser, more bohemian. Look up “pancaking” for doing loose type braids without totally making a mess.
Here’s a reeeally fast trial I did a bit ago. Mostly to see how the hair pieces would look. Here’s the tutorial for it. Super easy! https://youtu.be/XH-KJbFdlSk
Again, this is NOT a true trial, before anyone comes at me about it being extremely mediocre.

I love the second one and think you totally should do it yourself for your wedding! =)

Thank you! Its surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it, but a bit of practise is always good 🙂
it did get a bit messy when I fluffed out the braids since my hair is layered :/
will this work on layered hair? The braids in the first are actually significantly ‘fluffed’ out (pulling a small portion of the each plait look away to make it bigger) but I’ve never heard of pan caking. Unfortunately my layers like the escape when I do this hence the messy look to the first…. p.s I love your hairpiece and you have beautiful hair, so glossy 🙂
Haha maybe if not for the wedding for a military ball 🙂

Both of them look great! I prefer the first one. It looks more complex and mesmerizing. However, both look very elegant.
