I’ll start be showing you my dress. It is the ever so popular Lace Cap-sleeve Trumpet with Keyhole Back and Sash Style VW9768 from David’s Bridal:

I knew from the very beginning that I would be doing my hair and makeup myself. Once I picked out my dress, I figured I’d be wearing my hair in a loose updo like:
I don’t have a veil, I have a fascinator which has lace in the flowers and matches the dress perfectly:
Well, everytime I try to practice an updo, I just can’t get it…. Maybe I had really high hopes in taking it on myself, but had my dress not had the keyhole back, I’d gladly curl it and wear it down. I’ve also considered doing a curled side pony like:
My only concerns with this is that my hair is really fine (and long btw, I realize I didn’t specify this anywhere else!), so It would take a lot of teasing and product to pull it off, and I wonder if it’s too plain.
Please let me know how you would style your own hair if this were your dress!! And if you have any other suggestions or tips, please share!
