Heya bees, i’ve been MIA for awhile but with the holidays behind us i can refocus on my bridey duties.
I finally finished assembling my half diy half zazzle.com invitations so i thought i’d post the final results.
They cost me many, many coupons and trips to joann’s and michael’s and hours or back breaking paper cutting and precise vellum foldinng but they are worth it i feel.
I started out by ordering the invites from zazzle.com during one of their awesome invitation sales and got them at 50% off. I loved the design but when I received them I knew I wanted to embellish them and make them more fancy. After trying many different materials/mediums, i settled on this version and i couldn’t be more pleased. I’ll post pics and list the materials I used.
Also, this one is one of the rejects that didn’t get used. It’s not quite perfect.
*5×7 invitation printed by zazzle
*sheet of vellum cut to 5 1/4×7 1/4-purchased from joann’s
*nylon lace ribbon for band-purchased from michael’s(this was the biggest pain in the ass, i went to 6 different stores in the area because this particular lace was always sold out.)
*thin ivory ribbon for band-purchased from michael’s
*medium glue dots to attach ribbons and card
*paper trimmer-get the slider kind, not the guillotine kind.
*ivory cardstock-used printer and label format for squares with phrase.
*blue flower confetti-purchased from michael’s. i glued two together then put adhesive pearl.
*adhesive pearls-purchased from michael’s
i think that’s everything….this was definitely a labor of love!
