My sister is getting married in six months and as her maid of honor and official wedding planner (she’s a young’n) I’m spearheading the invitations. I’ve asked a good friend who is an illustrator to draw the design we want, but he wants to know what printing method we’ll use so he knows what restraints to work with.
We’re looking at somewhere in the realm of 150 invitations. Ideally, my sister/parents can’t budget more than $250 for this, so that pretty much writes off letterpress completely (right?).
I’ve toyed with the idea of buying a Yudu (I’d use it after this so it’d be worth the investment) but from other posts it seems like an awful lot of work and often may not be worth the hassle.
So I guess that leaves digital…
Does anyone have any inexpensive recommendations for working with your own design? (Websites vs local option like Kinkos/Staples, etc.?) I’m very hands on and would love to take on as much as I can
