I think it’s the spacing between the floral border and the actual content of the invite, they’re too close and maybe makes it seem too crowded? But that’s personal preference.

I agree, something looks off.  Maybe the fonts are too big and too close to the design. (especially at the top)  Maybe an off white would be better with the bright orange?

mrsrtobee:  too crowded and I wouldn’t spell out “twentieth” if you aren’t spelling out the rest of the dates. Spelling out dates seems very formal to me. I would just put “August 20th” or “August 20” instead.

To be honest I didn’t even SEE the date until I read it a couple of times. So definitely would be better to put August 20th.

mrsrtobee: Just curious…how were you able to edit the Vistaprint design?

mrsrtobee:  I think you need a space between the floral border and the text (especially at the top and bottom). I’d also use August 20th 2016 instead of it words, have the date all together on one line and have 5.00pm where you currently have 2016.  I’d also use a bold font for the “of” in the white oval, it’s quite tricky to read as its quite thin. I think they’ll look great once you’ve finished tweaking them.

I think the spacing around the border is much better!

I still think everything is too large. Right now everything is still fighting for my attention. You want to pick two things that are most important and make the other items smaller. “Reception to follow” can go much smaller. I would also make “wedding of” one line and just have both sides be swirly borders and give “Brandon and Kari” more space between the lines. And it looks like the date right now is larger than the venue info, you could probably make that a little smaller still and have the date be the other item that is bigger.

mrsrtobee:  I would probably have it all in the same font, just so your eyes don’t dart over important bits of info.
