I’m using the same company for my pocketfolds!  We’ve got a darker color too for the pockets (we’re using botanic), and I’m going with a white envelope.  The green on green seemed too much for me.  I printed my invitation on cardstock and left a 1/4″ border, so I didn’t need a mat.  With the inserts, everything ended up fitting in the pocket perfectly and the outer envelope closes fine.  With a mat added, you’ll run the risk of it being too thick to close right.

I like the idea of a lighter envelope–I used cardsandpockets too and I loved them!  But, what I really wanted to tell you is your invited are fantastic.  They are one of the most beautiful I’ve seen…I’m super impressed!

I don’t have any opinion on the envelopes and mat (well if you twisted my arm I’d say blue envelopes and you don’t need a mat if you print on cardstock).

BUT, I do think it’s slightly hard to read with every single word being capitalized.  I would just capitalize together, August, Kryka, Sweden, and reception….

Beautiful. The coloring is so Swedish! I love cards and pockets and I think it will look great on with the sapphire pocketfold without a mat.

One font that I think would go well with your theme would be: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/Josefin  .

When I saw the font, I could smell the strong black coffee and lutfisk.

Love! I would go with white envelopes and skip the all capitals like the second version you posted.

Only tweak that I would make possibly would be depending on the formality of your wedding. Traditionally the date is spelled out, so it could be:

    Saturday the third of August
    two thousand thirteen
at two o’clock in the afternoon

Totally up to you though on that! πŸ™‚

@eocenia:  I’m a Swedish-American living in Toronto. I grew up with lukfisk jokes and finding herring in random dishes where they didn’t belong.

Love the new font, it looks a lot cleaner!  I’m using crystal for the envelopes, it’s an icy white with a little shimmer to it.  I actually had ordered samples of the crystal, opal and white.  The white is just plain solid white, no shimmer to it.  The opal is a darker version of the crystal, it’s almost an eggshell color with shimmer.  So far I’ve loved working with cards & pockets, they’re fast and they’re nice.  Plus any company that’s willing to send me custom color wraps as a sample gets bonus points.
