@suburbian: I’ll wish you the best of luck with the printer! I’ll definitely print the informal invitations (we’ll have a small reception in Canada once we’re back from the wedding) on our printer at home. They will look like this:
However, I painted a few different versions – so we’ll have green, orange and purple dahlias as well.
And no they didn’t?! They put a mat finish on a glossy poster? That sucks!

@eocenia: They did – now I have about 20 wall-calendars for 2013 just chilling in my basement. I closed my etsy shop for it. I can’t sell those. Gah.
I love those! I recommend using the same font treatment on those as your invites in this post. And the extra colors will help glam it up while making it seem less girly lol – since it is about two people 🙂 I love your work though!!!!
If we could find a printing solution we could work together – you could paint and I’ll do the font/text treatments! 🙂 Maybe pro-bono work for other brides who are picky like we are lol.

And PLEASE tell me there is a painted horse somewhere in your wedding. My sister amrried into a swedish family and their ceremic painting and the wooden painted horses are my FAV!

@suburbian: Oh no, that’s awful!
Yes, just pink would have been too much! This is the orange invitation – my FI’s favourite:
And honestly, I would have loved to work doing things like this – I have so much fun! So if you’re willing to take me on, and we can come up with a printing solution – I’m game!

@suburbian: Oki… so I’ll tell you a story about those horses. As you might know, they’re called Dala horses. Fiance and I are in our car driving up to the cottage and we’re passing a farm with exotic animals – think bison, deer, lamas and that type of stuff.
Fiance looks at all the animals and goes – Eocenia, what are those painted Swedish horses called again?
Me – Dala häst!
Fiance – So… if you paint a lama in the same colours… what do you get then?
Me – A Dala lama! … SIGH, I want to throw something at you right now.

@Summer_Rose: I don’t know… it was really strange – the first few addresses came out amazing. Then it started to get “dry” and ink wouldn’t flow through so I did everything the instructions said (press in tip upside down shake, turn normal and press down) I would get a big blob of ink then it would start drying up again…. After this happened with 3 pens in a row my only explanation was that either all the pens were defective (definitely possible) or the tip was getting glitter caught up in it
this was with the extra fine sharpie
