Just wondering what weight paper everyone used that DIY’d their invites. I plan on doing accordian style invites in where there will only be a mat on the ends of the invite. Similar to this:
The main invite would be 80lb linen paper and the mats on each side would be 110lb. I’m wondering if I should have went heavier for the main invite.
What weight of paper did you use?

Oh 80 lb will be fine for that. Especially since you want it to fold. It will have the backing to keep it sturdy so I wouln’t worry. Cool idea!

80 lb is probably better for that. 110 will fold, but it’ll increase the weight and make your invite puffier–hence, more postage.

I didn’t use either, and I DIYed mine. I used 24lb paper with a backing on a pocketfold. If you want to see what I did, I have them posted on the bee here.

80 lb Cover would be fine, use the 110 for the ends (but only if they’re letterpressed) you may want to use 100 lb cover if you’re planning on running it thru a printer (110 can be tricky to feed thru some printers).
