Good morning Bee’s!
today I am looking for anyone that has DIYed their lighted backdrop for head table, ceremony, etc. I am wanting mine for our head table and can’t bring myself to pay $150+ for something I can buy and re-sell.
I have heard of people using sheer curtain panels and I’m not opposed to that I just don’t want them to LOOK like curtains.
My other wonder is the lights.. Anything about the lights lol
You get the idea! Any help would be great! Thanks!!!

This is what I am hoping to do. I saw somewhere a post about using pvc pipe but I cant find it now. I feel like this shouldnt be too hard to DIY! Would love to hear others ideas too!

Depends what your venue ceiling is like … Mines in a hotel with grid ceiling. I plan on doing a total transformation with fabric everywhere I am intending on using these hooks they have heavier dutier ones depending on the weight …your venue may already have the hooks if they have grid our said they used to but the last group stole them when cleaning up…

It’s fairly easy to do but will most likely have to be transported in pieces and put together at the venue.
Look for the lights on sale now, until the after Christmas sales. Make sure you measure out your venue so you know how long an extension cord you will need. You also need wide duck tape to tape the cord down to the floor so there are no tripping accidents.
Once the drapes are hung, the heading, whether it is pleated or a rod pocket, hangs over the top of the pipe so no one sees it.
As with many DIY decor ideas, one of the factors to consider is the time it will take to assemble. If you can get access to your venue the day before it helps reduce the load the day of the wedding.

julies1949: thanks for the tutorial.
The main thing in wondering about is the actual fabric. The structure my Future Father-In-Law will make 😉
