Thanks so much ladies! I really appreciate the feedback. 😀
I’m a little lost when it comes to foundation/concealer, I always feel like it’s caked on, so I’ve been putting off playing around with it. I’ve been breaking out like CRAZY, so I know I’ll need some on the wedding day.
Also, what color do you think I should do on my lips? Keep it a little more natural/pink, or go for a pop of red?
What about using a mineral powder like BareMinerals (which I use daily… LOVE it!) It gives great coverage without feeling cakey and it’s actually super light! Wow… Maybe i should do a commercial for them haha… I think a really pretty coral color would look nice for your lips. It will give you a little sheen without taking away from great eyes!
@Nikkole86: Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll have to try the BareMinerals powder. I’ve heard other great things about it too, I just haven’t ever tried it out. I appreciate it! Also, thanks for the suggestion about a coral lip- It’s also something I’ve never tried. I usually stick to pinks (or rather…chapstick…haha).
Try putting on witch hazel at night and in the morning- it’s natural and removes the oils that cause breakout without drying out your skin– you’ll be amazed. (it’s in the same aisle as hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol).
Also- I’d go with a paler color on your lips, especially with the dark eye- because if you don’t normally wear a lot of makeup then you’ll look too different- you know what I mean?
Wow! you have gorgeous eyes! I really like what you did so far, but I would suggest adding a hint of purple eyeshadow just in the crease of your eyelids to give them a bit more drama (if that’s what you’re going for). You did an awesome job!
Peachy-pink lip color would be just right with the dramatic eyes. For foundation and concealer, I really like Laura Mercier’s line of products; they haven’t caused my super-sensitive skin to break out at all and provide good coverage. Good luck!
@OoOTifsterOoO: I have actually been using witch hazel on my face every day. I’ve only been using it once in the morning, however. I have noticed a huge change in my face, but I’m still getting quite a few pimples (especially around “that time of the month”), so maybe the double dose at night will make all of the difference. Also, I totally know what you mean- I imagined a red lip might be a little too much, but I thought I’d throw it out there. 😉 Thanks!
@Miss Mauverick: Thank you for the compliment! 😀 How sweet of you! I’ll try the little bit of purple next time, never would have thought of trying that.
