I’d give an arm for your lips.. seriously.  They are not big. Beautiful is the word I’d use. Tbey definitely need a bit of color ๐Ÿ™‚

@lauramae89:  You really don’t need to slather it on. You usually don’t wear make up so this first stage seems like a lot. If possible, get used this this amount of makeup, and then start adding pops of a little more. I’d focus on a natural tone blush, a medium-shade eyeshadow (not too smokey), and near-natural lip color that has a bit more pop than the very natural one you’re wearing now. Experiment.

I think if someone who doesn’t usually wear makeup tried to lauch all-out into a full face of heavy makeup the day before, they’re very likely to overdo it, like apply way too much blush, or just choose the wrong colors/style for them. I get the sense you’re going about things the right way. You don’t need to wear as much makeup as some other brides, but you can add a bit more punch here and there to your final bridal look, if you want.

If you really like this look, I don’t think you’ll look washed out or anything. You do look great. But it can just add that extra bit of formal polish to your look by going just a little bit bolder.

Everyone else has given great advice but the main thing I think you could improve is curling your eyelashes. Then adding another coat of mascara. Will make a huge difference!

@lauramae89:  The eyes look better! You may want to try a different foundation that will even out your skintone even more so the blush is more noticeable. ๐Ÿ™‚

@lauramae89:  I have to be honest – I don’t see any make-up! Since you don’t normally wear it, it probably feels like you are wearing tons but it won’t look that way in pictures. The camera can really wash people out and requires a much heavier hand than everyday make-up.

@lauramae89:  You’ll figure it out, don’t worry!  The camera always makes it look like the makeup you have on is more washed out than in real life.  It’s a tough balance to look great in pictures and not over-done in reality.  I struggled with that too.

Also, you want to look like yourself, a polished, fresh version.  I like this most recent picture and would just add some oompf to the lashes (even short falsies to give more volume if you don’t want length), a pop of pink on the cheeks and lips, a natural fresh pink but one with some life.  I’m thinking of Revlon Pink in the Afternoon.
