Here’s what I referred to and did.. I also LOVE Youtube tutorials for more application help =)

Everything I used for the Day of…

I found and pretty much followed Miss Rainbows Ace Your Face Pt.1

Only differences are I use Smashbox over MAC (don’t like MAC).. I don’t mix my moisturizer b/c it makes my face oily.. and I use Smashbox Photofinish Concealer b/c well I need it. lol

Also.. check out Youtube tutorials.. They are GREAT to really see how to apply make-up, eye shadow, etc =)

Day to Day and for the Big Day:

I myself wear Smashbox Photofinish Foundation.. great coverage but isn’t heavy (I was a mineral makeup girl so I didn’t want heavy or cakey)

Monistat Chaffing gel for primer (it’s the same as Smashbox primer)

Smashbox Photofinish concealer b/c it’s the best coverage I’ve found for my skin issues

Bare Minerals Foundation Powder for my loose Powder (i like the coverage better than a regular pressed powder)

Also the Smashbox Starter comes with their powder.

Bare Minerals Warmth for my cheeks and bridge of nose

any ol blush for the apples of my cheeks.

MUFE HD Finishing Powder to set my make up (although I have heard the elf makes something similar for MUCH cheaper)

and Smashbox limitless long wear lipgloss

My eyeshadow was an Ulta dou blue & light blue/silver along with another neutral color.

I bought my brushes from Target Studio Tools:

Foundation and Blush

CVS got another brush

Fluffy Powder Brush & slanted eye liner brushe that I actually use for my eyebrows

Here’s a pic for reference… I definitely wanted a more natural look since I HATE cakey make up lol

Still natural but I definitely felt gorgeous!

I am in the same boat. I just bought some ecotools brushes (I got them yesterday so I haven’t tried them out yet). They get very good reviews and you get a set for about $12. Now I just have to learn how to use them. I also am planning to use Ms. Rainbow’s tutorials.

One thing I’ve heard is that you should NOT use anything with SPF in it. Go for one of the photofinish HD foundations, since those are best for the camera.

I just bought a couple of Maybelline quads of eye shadow so I can start experimenting with colors for that too.

@Keltaena: OOH I love Ecotools! I have a few of their brushes and they are great! They feel soooo much more expensive then they really are and work better than some of my more expensive brushes!

I would wear your make-up how YOU want to that day and not risk looking too “overdone”. I will say that with the pictures, you might want to use a bit of brown eyeliner (use an angled brush dipped in a good eyeliner powder, it looks much more natural and its easy to blend!) and bit of light blush. Also, stay away from anything that has SPF in it, as it reflects flash and makes you look oddly pale in photographs! Good Luck!
