I’m honestly shocked by some of these comments!! I’m being 100% honest when I say this is by far THE best diy makeup post I’ve seen on the bee, ever. You look beyond amazing!! Great job!!

A little more blush and maybe a lil pop on the lip color (only because both of those photograph light) and I’d say you’re good. You are beautiful and your make up looks great. I don’t see “cakey” at all. I used UD “all nighter” too but I bought the cheap travel pack that came with a priming spray too (I think it was called quick fix). The combo was great and hydrating. You may like it.

I’m also DIY’ing my M/U. I wasn’t quite prepared for the list of products to try and suggestions I was given by the bee’s when I posted my DIY make up either. Just to do the DIY M/U trial I posted pics of, I had easily spent $200 on make up and products. Take the criticism with a grain of salt and try to extract the good advice.

You must be getting married the weekend before I am because I’m like 17 days out now. Eeeek! Congrats and good luck! I’m sure you will look beautiful! Can’t wait for your recap <3

xo_futuremrsbear :  Jane iredale is a mineral makeup and it’s amazing. The matte powder would even perfect

xo_futuremrsbear :  Thank you for posting! I feel like we’re skin twins, so I’ve been watching this closely 🙂

Your makeup looks AMAZING! I agree with the additional blush and different lipstick shade. I’m also using Tartest Lip Paint, and the Bounce color was perfect for me (it makes a statement, but is only 1 shade darker and 1 shade brighter than my own lip color). Just a recommendation 🙂

Your eyes look amazing, and your complexion is perfectly even and balance, and your brows look on point.

For the shiny-ness, I switched from the Smashbox Photo Finish to their Green primer for redness, and it helped quite a bit with mattifying my face. I picked up a travel size one at Sephora so it was cheaper. Another tip that I learned that has been fantastic is the Urban Decan Lip Love– it’s coconut oil based, and PERFECT to use just a little bit before the Tartest. What I’ve found is it helps it stay a bit longer, but (more importantly in my opinion), mainly makes it so when it does rub off, it comes off evenly, rather than leaving an awkward lip-line. I also use it as my new found chapstick.

Thanks again for posting and congrats!!

yes yes yes!! Love it. The first trial you did was beautiful but I think this one tops it. You’ve got it down  girl!

You are very pretty!  The second trial looks great!!  I *might* add a gloss to your lips, or a heavy balm underneath your lip color (they look a little dry to me but I’ve always favored a glossy lip), but otherwise you look awesome!  And thanks for posting your products–I plan to DIY too when the time comes.

Looks great! I actually think the amount of blush is perfect. And I think you found a definite winner for the lip color. What did you end up going with on that one, out of curiosity?

xo_futuremrsbear :  a pro tip i would deepen the outer corner of the eye just to give your eyes a bit more depth in the photos. The camera will be further away so a bit more depth in the eyes will stop them looking to flat.
