Hi!  I love makeup and wearing it, so everything I recommend is tried and true!

Too Faced makes a great eye primer called Shadow Insurance, keeps your eyeliner and shadow from smudging, it doubles as concealer, so don’t be afraid to apply liberally.

Air brush foundation works best for wedding photos, you might want to splurge there and have that done for you, it’s flawless coverage, translates seamlessly to digital photography, is light, won’t transfer and blends beautifully.  If not, Neutrogena is a good start for all skin types and tones, apply with a brush and blend.

I like to use Sun Beam from Benefit cosmetics for bronzer in lieu of blush, but I’m rather golden toned, if blush is a must, I can recommend Dallas, by the same company, it works for all times of day, their false eyelashes are to die for and their Baby Cakes eye liner is fab, add water and apply.

MAC translucent powder is a winner every time.

Du Wop’s Lip Venom gives a bee stung look without cakey lip-stick coverage.

Boots does a nice mascara for definition that’s light and won’t spider.

And I like to blend the Bare Minerals eye colors on top of each other for a layered and luminous look, start with Soul, add a tone plus a darker contour = instant glamour!

Good luck!

ive allways loved urban decays eye primer! its crazy how it works.

as for eye shadow I love M.A.C and you can go there and get lessons from the makeup artists there.

and as far as foundasion i have to agree with nona 99 airbrush is best. but i myself use M.A.C studio fix foundation. but my face tends to get kind of oily, if yours does to then youl need a face primer like urban decay’s oil slick.

and M.A.C setting powder is the bomb!

but as far as the face you should really learn how to contour. so that way you dont get washed out with flash photos!

lipstains is something that i would do for the wedding so you can kiss all you want and not transfer it to your new hubby ^-^

but i must say… since you dont wear makeup have you ever? its allot of skill that takes quite a bit of practice. so i wouldnt let it wait till the last minute. especialy eyelashes they can be very tricky but M.A.C artist can help you with that as well. dont forget youtube makeup tutorials they have one for everything ^-^ good luck!

I DIYed my own makeup when I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man for my friend’s wedding. Bought the Temptu from Sephora and I LOVE it!

Smashbox primer for face, Urban Decay makes an awesome eye primer, powder, Urban Decay for blush and bronzer and make sure you learn how to conture. It helps to go to Sephora or Nordstroms and have a quick lesson with the MUA’s!

I seccond & third the ladies here MAC is the bomb in my books! Everything I have used there has never steared me wrong. Airbrush is great make up but if your not used to wearing it can feel really heavy on the skin and you do need a pro who has done it before to apply other wise can get really heavy very easially. I do reccomend a primer always under foundation MAC Prep & Prime Skin is fantastic, and for wedding there Pro Longwear Foundation is a must! Definante love!! And highly reccomend some bronzer & highlighters for the skin to give that perfect glow on the big day!!

I am gonna throw this out there, that before you get hung up on DIY I would look into an artist coming to you, most times it is less expensive (by alot) than going out and buying all the products yourself. I have worked for MAC for 4+years, and an average artist to come you you is between 100 – 150 m+ tip. To buy a whole set top to bottom with brushes your looking an easy 300 – 500+. It adds up so quickly. So if your more into having the big glam look for one day but dont want to huge commitment of all those products I would get a pro to come make you gorgeous on your big day!!
