24hour Makeup by Maybelline (I normally only use Bare Minerals, but thats a no no for photos, so I hunted for an inexpensive long wearing liquid for the day, and this stuff just WORKS. And not even $10 a bottle!)

Urban Decay shadow primer, Urban Decay eye shadows, Revlon Colorstay Blush, Sephora brand nude pink liner for all over lip color, and it looks GOOD. ( I too HATE lipstick, and Fiance calls the plumpers and gloss that I love flypaper, so thats a no no for the day as well.) Volumnious Million Lashes mascara.

Finish off with Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray and voila!  Not to toot my own horn, but I am very skilled at doing my makeup, so I never once considered hiring anyone to do my wedding day face, and other than the liquid foundation, these are all products I use every day. Good luck!

ps I am a chapstick junkie myself, but I am worried if I wear just that, then my lips will look washed out. What about a chap stick that has a faint shimmer?

I plan on doing my own makeup as well. I bought Shadowbox 15-hour foundation from Ulta – it was made for photos, so it looks really good! Ulta was running a special buy 1 get one free on Urban Decay shadow primer, and they had a whole portfolio book full of makeup for $20. I think they are still running this sale. I also have an eyeshadow portfolio book from Sephora – their eyeshadows are gorgeous and they last! For lips, try a lip stain or a tinted chapstick. I love Bath and Body Works’ lip glosses because they don’t look overdone – it’s just like a glossy chapstick. Oh yeah, I also use Maybelline’s loose powder as a bronzer because it’s really lightweight and it doesn’t look cakey.

I need to get some setting spray and a foundation brush then I’ll be set!

Urban Decay Primer Potion (eyeshadow primer) and Urban Decay All-Nighter setting spray should deginitely be considered.

You’ll have to check and see if it’s okay for photos, but I really like Urban Decay’s Razor Sharp Ultra Definition Finishing Powder (I unscrew the cap and apply it with a finishing brush).  It makes you look soft and airbrushed.

As far as your lips go, maybe a tinted lip balm, such as CoverGirl NatureLuxe gloss balm (I’ve tried it and like it), Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm (tried it and liked it), Clinique Chubby Stick (haven’t tried it yet), etc?

I would say just use a longlasting lip liner in a neutral color and mix it with your lip balm! I do that a lot and it looks natural and stays!

I usually just wear chapstick too 🙂 I did get a smashbox look book though to try out and I was surprised by how much I loved the lip colors included! I have thinner lips and usually color is lost on them any way, but its a semi glossy tint not a paste which is nice.

Face:  Laura Mercier foundation primer. Lancome’s Tient Idole Enduringly Divine Comfortable Makeup 14 hour retouch free foundation mixed with Smashbox artificial light. Then I will buff my face with Smashbox Fusion Soft Lights.

Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Potion, MAC eyeshadows. Loreal’s gel eyeliner in black and million lashes mascara

Cheeks: Este Lauder blush in Radiant Peach

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting spray

Lips: probably a lip gloss or lip stick in a neutral shade

I haven’t found a foundation that I really like yet, but that’s partly due to my limited makeup budget and the fact that I hate having different open foundations around and then opening a new one.

I definetely agree with the Urban Decay primers/all nighter spray, the last thing I’d wanna do is look into a random mirror and see my eyeshadow sliding down my face.

I’m thinking MAC or Urban Decay eyeshadows, YSL Faux Cils mascara, Makeup Forever aqualiner, Nars Angelika blush and a light lipstick like a Chanel Rouge Coco Shine.

I am doing my own. I will probably use Face Atelier foundation. I use it a lot on other people for dancing and I love the finish of it. Will just need to do some test runs in the next couple of weeks to see how it lasts on my own skin. Finished with MUFE Velvet finish powder.

Just a headsup to anyone looking at MUFE – if you use their HD powder (the white stuff). Use little, and really really really buff it into your skin. It has a notorious reputation among MUA’s for reflecting white in photos even if you can’t see it to the naked eye.

Eyes will be a mix of MAC, MUFE and Yaby (yabycosmetics.com), with gel/liquid eyeliner and Maybelline mascara (Maybelline rocks for Mascara!).

I like Mac Matt Bronze for bronzing and contouring, and MAC lustre drops as a highlight. I have some new La Femme blushes i want to try as well, but have NARS orgasm as a back up! lol.

Lips I am not sure of yet. I tend to go for quite neutral shades day to day, so I’d like to go for something with a bit more colour.
