i love it!!!  i like the lights.  so cool.  it will have a nice impact.

i had a big 30″ L that i made out of styrofoam and about 200 fuschia tissue flowers.  it was a last minute diy that i finished just before our rehearsal.

Looks awesome–but BE CAREFUL. Unless you are using LED lights, using light bulbs with posterboard and foam board could be a major fire hazard… I just showed your photo to my engineer fiance and he said to BE VERY CAREFUL. Even bright LEDs get HOT. 

And YES–those decorative lights CAN cause fires. Many house fires around the holidays are caused by christmas tree lights catching a dead/dry tree on fire–or outdoor holiday lights catching a roof on fire. Check out this page on decorative light safety from the U.S. Fire Administration:



By The Way – Real marquis lights use METAL housing, so it doesn’t catch fire.  




I hate to be a naysayer (since it does look very cool), but I wouldn’t feel comfortable using those…
