This weekend we finished our DIY invitations. There were a lot of problems with printing as my printer doesn’t do edge-to-edge printing, so all my measurements were off. I adjusted them a few times, but there are still two tiny little gray lines visible on the back of the invites that were supposed to be outlines for folding. Fiance refused to re-print, re-cut, and re-fold the invites 🙂 I also felt pretty unhappy about the quality of printing. It turned out that the cardstock’s rough texture really did not work with my printer, so it looks a little fuzzy in my opinion, although Fiance says that it looks good. All in all, I am pretty happy with what we created. You’ll see that we made the invites pretty informal without spelling out times and dates and even omitting our last names.
This was my inspiration

Here is my DIY map that I will add to the invitations

Thank you, Bees 🙂 Now that I look at them, I feel very proud of what we accomplished. I’m sure (I hope) that the guests will not notice all the little things that I see.

@atalante: Yes, I was particularly proud of the meal names 🙂 Fiance and I are very relaxed and we laugh and joke all the time. We called those meals girly and manly between ourselves and then decided that why not just put it on the invites 🙂 So, we were looking at each other and thinking, if classic breakfast is manly, eggs benedict is definitely girly, then what is quiche? 😉
@katsupgirl: Thank you very much 🙂
