Well with the day home sick, it seems I am making good progress on my invitation suite.
I was inspired by Mrs. Elk’s hand drawn monogram to make my own. This is what spurred on the whole drawing/painting idea. (I will probably end up making my own marriage certificate for guests to sign as well)
You can see my original pattern ideas here
and my RSVP here
So here is what I came up with
Which ampersand do you like better in the middle?
and for the final version should we have our full names on it?
#1 more cursive ampersand:
#2 more chunky ampersand:
any other feedback would be appreciated as well

Go to Dafont.com and look up cursive fonts. I think you will find some AMAZING cursive font on their that will take it to another level! Good Luck!

@Lepidoptera: do you mean that for the ampersand, or for the names?
I was wanted the names to have a sketch like look, similar to what is on the RSVP, but a cursive.
As for the ampersand, I printed off 2 that I liked and then painted them with watercolours – so I’m not planning on changing those.

Good job! I like the first one. I think with full names would look nice too 🙂

The curvy amersand is definitely more inline with the rest of the monogram. I think the chunkier one is too modern.

@Lepidoptera: or anyone? do you have any other suggestions for fonts for the names?
I’m going to keep the ampersand the way it is, but Fiance doesn’t like the fonts for the names.
