I’m really loving the way these are soming out. I think I will add a small ivory bow or ribbon covering the green floral tape, not too sure. Fiance absolutely did not want to wear flowers. I saw something sort of along these lines and it sparked an idea in my head. Each guy will have a different theme. The fishing one is for my Godfather, the baseball one for my BIL (groomsman). Ideas? Suggestions?

Love, Love Love them!
For the others- what are their interest? hobbies? wine, golf, travel, cooking, music, reading (student?), profession?
There are any number of miniature items available today- lots of them in dollar stores.

For the rest here is what I’m thinking:
- groom – hunting or anything with an engine that goes fast
- best man – law, cigars, or golf
- gm EM – baseball (pictured above)
- gm JJ – no clue yet, FI’s working on it!
- gm CR – sports
- gm JL – computers, video games
- gm JH – golf, computers
- gm JS – fishing, cooking
- gm MW – golf, coffee
- gm TF – Army
- FOB – cabin, hunting
- FOG – no clue yet
- my Godfather – fishing (pictured)
- his Godfather – motorcycles
- ring bearer – hockey
- Grandpa J – Irish
- Grandpa W – beer? not sure
- Grandpa R – trains
I think that’s all of the men. LOL. That’s what I’m thinking so far. I’m sure I’ll post the rest of them when they’re all finished

I should add, the items I used are actually buttons! I got them at Joann Fabrics. And they’re nice because they all have the small button hole in the back to thread the wire through. Plus, they come in packs of two and several of them I an use for more than one person, so that is helpful! I really think th guys will like them!

I am SO stealing this idea! I love it instead it flowers for the guys!

You are brilliant! What a clever idea–and such a keepsake too!

I love them so much, I am going to show them to the FH and see if that is a good alternative. He doesn’t want flowers, feathers, or beads.

Oh my gosh! I love this!!! SO CUTE!

These are fabulous – you’re brilliant! Since they are anti-flowers, maybe you could stem wrap in ribbon instead of covering up with a bow? This will keep the look clean and classy. Also, you can wrap the stem around a pen to create a ‘curl’ if you want it to have more balance against the body. Congrats!

yeah, I thought the same thing today about not using a bow and wrapping them in ribbon which is what I decided to do. Think I’m just going to use a thin dark brown grosgrain. And I have curled the ends, we’ll see if I keep them like that! Thanks for the positive feedback!!!! I love them. I think they’re a great alternative and the guys can always keep them if they want.
