What a cute idea!  I was looking around and I agree, they can get expensive!

I know you want wood, but maybe you could spray paint a good quality paperboard puzzle?

Do you have any education supplies/early childhood toy shops around your area? They can have bigger wooden jigsaws?

I got some made from Printer Studio (Here) when I asked my FI’s Nieces to be in our Bridal Party.

They’re cardboard but for the $9 I paid for each one they we’re good quality and for that price you could always buy one with a cute picture of you and your Fiance and if you don’t like it just keep it for yourself 🙂

You can get them with 12, 54, 100 or 285 pieces.

Hi!

This might work:

http://store.training-wheels.com/compuz48piec.html

The pieces are big (4″ x 4″ and 4″ x 2″) & blank and they are all the same.  You can buy 2 sets and put them together.

Another tip I picked up: some people will sign as a couple so if you have 100 guests you will not necessarily need 100 pieces.

I hope you find what you are looking for!

I want the exact same thing as you! I’ve also been searching with no luck. Those etsy ones are damn expensive!
