Orchids look great removed from the pot and placed in square glass vases. Add some curly branches.

You can find all sorts of inexpensive planters to hold the orchid pot.

This is a very modern look with the potted plant inserted into a wire basket and hidden with some moss.

Hi there!  You and I had the same ideas with orchids – I ended up having my florist take care of it, which ran up the cost, but I’m thinking what we did could easily be DIYed for much cheaper! Hope this helps you!

It’s hard to see, but we went with large and small orchids – for the smaller orchids, we had 3 plants put into a square glass bowl with ribbon around it.  For the larger, it was one potted double phaelenopsis (oh man spelling? I know i’m close :D) in a square wooden box.  Florist chose to go with manzanitas around them, but I’m fairly certain you could do it without and they would still look lovely! Happy planning! 🙂

You can put them in a planter box and then fill the planter box with flowers. They don’t have to be expensive flowers either…carnations, poms, mums, roses, even hydrangeas. Hydrangeas are pricy per stem, but they are so big and take up so much room, that you won’t need as many flowers. Mix it up with greens. We did that for our mazanita trees, and people loved them. They looked professionally made.
