- Wedding: May 2010
Hey Hive, There’s something about the end of the year that gets me motivated & maybe something about the wedding day being 5 months away. Now that Christmas is over (I counted 6 family Christmases between the Fiance & Me) it’s time to get seriously started. So far the only thing I have done are the flower girls pomanders and lots of fabric flowers (nothing to put them in, nada)
This is what my place looks like now. Like craft paper exploded in it. It’s Texas and its freaklishly cold for winter–note the space heater & blanket. You can’t see it but that’s Weddingbee on the computer too.
I agonized over the pomanders for so long trying to get the ribbons just right. Why? My 2 two year old flower girls will be swinging them like crazy, so you won’t actually get to see them. (this picture was before I added extra ribbons)
Here are the projects for tonight:
I’m cutting, printing, & stamping paper for ~120 invites. Just starting somewhere, b/c I know I’ll need a lot more. & paper was on sale at Hobby Lobby.
Also on tonight’s agenda- Stamping lots of vellum with matching flowers and a monogram. I don’t have a picture of the finished product yet. But they will be wrapped around glass vases with candles inside so the design pops.
So tonight I’m working on 2 super easy but super time consuming projects, hoping to get a few things out of the way.
Here is my other project from today. My pearl monogram cake topper. It’s a DIY fail so far–the beads are too heavy for my wire. I’ll get it worked out eventually…I only need one more trip to the craft store.
Someday the Fiance will understand the obsession with all things Martha. I keep telling him it just wired into the female brain. Second thought I hope he never understands that.
