I am planning on having DIY photo booth with a cute back drop and props like many of you have probably heard of or seen. But I was thinking about just paying someone to take the pictures and then put all the pictures on a CD and print them out later after the wedding sometime. Since there isn’t going to be an automatic print out of the pictures can I still call it a “photo booth”? And is this even a good idea? Just wondering what you other girls thought. Please let me know of any comments/suggestions/ideas

Honestly, you can call it whatever you want. Your guests aren’t going to sit around saying “but it didn’t give me an automatic picture! It’s not a photobooth”.
Many people do exactly what you’re doing. It’s still a photobooth.

Ok thanks for the advice! I hope it works out.

Even if you’re not going to have it print out instantly, I still think it is a good idea. People always have fun with photo booths even if they don’t get a copy of the pictures. I’d still enjoy it.

I’m planning on doing my DIY photobooth this way as well. And I plan on putting the pictures in the thank you cards : )

We are also doing a DIY photobooth. We’re going to have an instant printing digital camera (kind of like polaroid-style) at the booth. Guests take their own pics and pin the photo along with a written message on framed bulletin boards at the booth. Would love to know if anyone else out there has done this. What worked? Didn’t? Any suggestions?

@MaritimeBee: Hey hun! Congratulations on recently getting married! Yay! (: Please let me know how your DIY photo booth with printer worked out for you. I really want to have one as they are SO much fun. Could you also tell me if there was a certain website you used to help you? I read about using my iPad, so I may utilize that. Any information or suggestions would be so helpful. Thanks! (:
