I’m wanting to set up an easy DIY photo booth at my wedding, and I’m wanting to see your pics and hear your “do’s” and “don’ts”. My Future Sister-In-Law has a REALLY nice camera that I thought we’d set up on a tripod with a hand clicker, put up a backdrop and add a construction lamp for lighting and call it a day.
I’m looking for actual pictures of guests taken at your photo booth, as well as any how-to tips.
What are your thoughts/experiences?

I am not too sure if you have seen my other posts….BUT…we had a DIY photobooth…kinda. I made the backdrop, hung it to a wall with 3M command removable hooks and brought props. We did however use 1 of our 2 photographers to take the pictures. They did it free of charge as it was within the time limit.
It turned out AWESOME! Those pics are some of my most favorite ones. It was slow to start then we couldn`t keep people away. We actually ended up having to pay the photpgraphers to stay an extra hour. Well worth it.
Here are some pics of the ridiculousness:
I am sure you could use a good camera and a tripod as our photgraphers did. She did move it as needed….if it was a large group. I would suggest having someone take the pics. I think they may turn out better.

I’ll share a couple of ours! We went the sparkbooth direction with my old imac. The quality isn’t spectacular, but everyone LOVED it! I got so many compliments on how much fun it was (and I was going to scrap it becasue it was getting to be one of those pain in the butt projects!!)
I also had someone comment that they liked it better than the booth ones becasue there was room for a bigger group and funny poses. and giant cardboard animals from my safari themed bridal shower….
**also there were way funnier pictures, i just didn’t want to put my friends faces all over the web without them knowing 🙂
