- Wedding: October 2010
So my mom has a centerpiece/decor idea to put on the big table with our table cards and guest book, and I’m not quite sure I share her enthusiasm for this particular idea. She’s been pretty hands-off throughout the whole wedding, so I also don’t want to shut her down on the one idea she’s excited about — I’m hoping with your help, I can come up with a version of her idea that will be nostalgic but also beautiful.
We have a beautiful vase with manzanita branches and river rock that was used on a guest book table at a family friend’s wedding. My mother was appalled (seriously, appalled) that my fiance and I are opting not to do a photo slideshow at the wedding and really wants some photo display. Thus, she’d like to hang childhood photos (nothing big, just 5-10 wallet-sized photos of each of us) from the branches of the manzanita tree.
I’m worried that this could very easily become cheap or tacky looking. Any ideas for little hanging frames or backings for the photos that can help me indulge her idea, but also keep it classy and tasteful?
