I have seen a ton of Photobooth DIYs on here using Software and Laptops. Has anyone tried one that was the Camera set up on a Self-Timer? The problem with the Laptop idea is – I don’t own the Printer, the Software or Webcam. But! I have a Camera and a Tripod 😀

There was an app that costs like 99 dollars that collects all the pictures so you don’t have to go around searching. I don’t remember what is called but maybe you could look into that?
Otherwise I would designate someone to do this like they do in all the movies I’ve ever seen involving a prom. (I never went to prom, so not sure if they actually do that or not.)

Isn’t that to upload wedding photos to Shutterfly or Instagram or something like that? $99 seems a bit much. I already have a photographer. I was hoping just like a Photobooth that girls can take silly pictures in front of…

I thought about doing a camera + tripod + self timer too, but thought better of it later.
True, the self timer gives the ‘rushed, gotta get into position!’ look that photo-booths are great for, but I just didn’t think I wanted a bunch of possibly champagne-happy guests fondling my Future In-Laws camera. I was afraid of someone accidently knocking it over, or accidently breaking it or what have you.. so I feel having an ‘attendant’ is a much better idea.
Both of us have worked in the restaurant industry, and there’s always poor college waiters trying to make an extra buck – We’re gonna ask some of our ex (trustworthy!) co-workers to man the camera for the night for a little cash and free booze 🙂

We are gonna get a handheld button to attach to the camera. Fiance says it’s not too expensive. We will probably have to later post pics or e-mail them to everyone instead of printing on site. That would get crazy.

Where do you get the handheld buttons?
We do have a college in my town 😀 Do you think putting up a CraigsList ad would be ok or how do I find someone willing to do it? I feel bad asking someone that’s been invited 🙁

He says it’s called a remote shutter and we are going to get ours from amazon.
