If you did or are doing a DIY photobooth – what are you doing for lighting? Or did you do? Just the standard flash from the camera or an actual lighting set up?
We are debating renting lights from our photographer but can’t decide if it’s really necessary or if we can just depend on the standard flash (we have a really great camera that takes amazing pics).
Thanks for any advice

We have a friend who has professional lighting, and he lent it to us.

If you’re wedding is in the evening or in a darker venue then you should definitly have a couple lights. I’m sure you could get by with just your camera flash but more lighting couldn’t hurt.
Try to do a test run at your venue if possible.

@camrie – we’re a Destination Wedding so we can’t test it out, unfortunately. i emailed my photographers about renting lights from them but have not heard back (they are my biggest hiring regret). I guess we’ll just see what happens when we get there…

As long as it is a detachable flash it will work… don’t use a little point and shoot flash. We are doing one too. 🙂

We just bought a Canon Rebel T2i, which is an amazing camera, so I am thinking that we will be ok if we don’t have additional lighting…still nothing from my photographers…
