- Wedding: March 2013
Hey I’m Jamie and I’m new to the hive! My wedding is mardi gras themed and I’m very excited about incorporating my family’s culture into our special day! Anywho like the title of my post suggests I’m in a DIY pickle. I have seen some BEAUTIFUL non-floral bouquet creations on this site and I have to say that there are some extremely talented individuals on this site. Since my parents both have mad crazy allergies (and the small fact that I kind of loathe flowers!) I decided that I’m going with a non-floral bouquet. My BMs will be carrying really pretty parasols, but I still wanted to be a little more traditional by having a physical bouquet.
This post is getting long. . . thanks for sticking with me!
I searched the web to find something that I thought I could make myself. . . and I found this.
Now this is actually a fascinator that I found off of emici bridal’s website. Their creations are gorgeous but WAY out of my price range. I obviously don’t want an identical copy of this for originality and artistic purposes but I was wondering if anyone could kind of steer me in the right direction on how to make a bouquet of this kind of “flower” or something similar to it.
Thanks for reading!
