I purchased my pocketfolds from paperandmore.com, and was very please with the quality, customer service, selection and value.  I know other bees have used cards and pockets, but I don’t have any experience with them.  You can make your own pocketfolds; but, depending on the size card you want, it may actually be more expensive to purchase the oversized cardstock.  Here is a template for a rectangular card (from http://crazykrafty.wordpress.com/2010/07/03/pocket-fold-template/)

@designfaerie:  I purchased my pocketfolds through cardsandpockets.com and they were really easy to work with. They sent the samples quickly and our order was delivered on time and everything was correct. I would highly recommend them!

I ordered through Cards and Pockets and was very happy with them.

Putting together pocketfolds is enough work as it is with the inserts and the gluing and possibly the belly band, etc. I would NOT take on making my own pocketfolds, especially for a large guest list. The only way I would possibly consider it is with a die-cut machine to cut the pocketfolds, and a good bone folder and really good attention to detail during folding.

But seriously, total PITA. Finding a glue that holds well but doesn’t run over the edges, the right size paper…

it gives me hives just to think about it. And I was VERY DIY with my invitations (everything printed on 8.5×11 and trimmed down, lots of layers, etc). I had 130 invites, and doing those pocketfolds myself would have killed me.

Just order them. I agree with PP. It was enough work assembling the invitations without having to make the pocketfolds. I also bought mine from cardsandpockets.com and was very pleased. I got samples from paperandmore.com as well. The quality was comparable, but the color from cardsandpockets were more of what I was looking for. I also bought envelopes from them, which were beautiful.

@designfaerie:  I ordered samples from Cards & Pockets and they were great quality. I found that Paper Presentation which is located in the city had a larger selection of colors as well as cheaper prices. Why dont you take a trip into the city so you can look in person? Or, order samples…
