futuremrsstarring:  You just need a stronger dry adheasive. Liquid glue would work also but then you have to deal with seapage and holding it down while it sets without it getting stuck to other things. 

Scor tape or redline tape is the best for holding cardstock to cardstock .

there are different strengths and types of dots (permanant vs removable, extra duty etc) so maybe you just need a stronger version – I had a lot of luck with scotch permanant adhesive dots in medium ultra thin  – I even had to use them to seal the envelopes since the sticky lick adhesive didn’t work for me

I used photo mounting squares (permanent)…I used the recollections brand from Michaels.

futuremrsstarring:  I also used the tape runner that you mentioned and I had absolutely no problems. I just used a brand name (Scotch) and used the extra duty tape. In fact, I had to reposition some of the cards and getting them OFF was a little tricky. Worked like a charm!
