I haven’t been around the ‘bee lately so I thought I’d do a big update post.
8 days out from “The Big Day” and we are movin’ right along!
Big wreath is for family row, small is for guest rows
Fabric flower corsages for moms/grandma/aunt/sisters
Favor boxes (containing lindor truffles)
Napkin rings (3″ wire edge ribbon from Costco, sewn into a ring shape)
Stacks of completed ruffle tree centerpieces.
Ruffle trees with stands. 2 per table. (Purple is a match to David’s bridal Lapis, but does not photograph very accurately)
Cake toppers (lego hat!!) Ornaments from Target that I “accessorized”.
So that’s what I’ve been working on!

@scarlet_letter: I am SO impressed!! You’ve done an amazing job! I especially love the ruffle trees and the corsages. It’s all in line with your theme but not kitschy! Good luck!

@ButterflyBride5: Thanks so much. We tried to make it a subtle theme but not “HEY OMG IT’S A CHRISTMAS WEDDINNNGGGGG” (I am Jewish, though I celebrate both holidays). 🙂

@scarlet_letter: hey there, do you recommend a certain tutorial for the ruffle trees? I’d like to check it out. Thanks! Everything is looking good.

@vegasgrrl: I went off the tutorial and used a ruffle foot for my sewing machine rather than hand-ruffling (we have 30 trees…) but this would get you a similar look:
Here’s a sewing one: http://www.shanty-2-chic.com/2010/11/ruffle-christmas-trees.html
We made several changes along the way, and I plan on writing up a how-to when I return from wedding/honeymoon.

Very well done!!! These are all so cute!!! 🙂

@nativedesires: Thanks! We love them, too! Every vendor we’ve worked with has said they are unique. Kind of the feel I was going for. 🙂 As a part-time wedding photog, I wanted to do something a little different. 🙂
@bakeress1: Winter weddings are fun but unpredictable! We’re expecting snow on wedding day (unusual for Seattle!) but it’ll be awesome no matter what. 🙂
@TessaZ: Thank you. 🙂
