I would just buy some acrylic craft paint from Michaels and spread it on.

With all that detail I’d do a very light coat of spray paint. Maybe two coats, but do them light so it doesn’t run & end up in all the little edges  stuff..

Or maybe a watered down acrylic..

would recommend spray painting with spray primer first (it’ll help the spray paint stick better) and then a few light coats of spray paint. that’ll keep it nice and even and it won’t run.

they’re super cute.

If you use acrylic (which, as it sonds has been ruled out) it will be a matte finish (which you can also achieve by using matte spray paint.) My advice would be to use spray paint – it’ll be quicker for you and it has that nice sheen. I’d say make sure if you’re doing multiple coats to make sure they’re all the way dry before you do the second coat (I speak from impatient experience.)

I also vote spray paint. I’d use a spray primer and then follow it with a matte spray paint. Nice, thin, even layers.

Where did you find your frames, I’ve been looking to score some too?
