So I bought the Gartner Studios DIY Invitation Kit that comes with RSVP cards. I used their WORD template from their site. I’m printing on an HP6380. When it prints, it prints as if it’s printing onto a full 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper, centered, rather than an 8.5 x 5.5 sheet, which is what it’s set up to print onto. AAHHH!! I’ve tried EVERYTHING!! Tried putting the RSVP card sheet in the center for it to print, comes out crooked. Changing the paper size settings, nothing.
Has anyone gone through this? Anyone have a fix for me? I would greatly appreciate any help I can get with this problem.
I’ve decided that if I can’t get it to work, I’m just printing it on vellum paper and sticking it on the card. I have to get these out by this weekend. *sigh*

My only option would be to adjust the paper size settings to “custom” and then indicate if it’s portrait or landscape view.
You could take it to Kinkos? That’s what i did. 9 cents for b/w.
If not, shoot, print on vellum, paper cut it (cheap at kinkos) and use brads to stick it to the card. Don’t fight it! =]

I feel your pain on having an evil printer! This is a unsophisticated solution, but I have been known to secure (i.e., masking tape) something that is too small for my printer to a regular 8.5×11″ sheet. You’ll need to play around with it to get the placement just right, but it’s worked for me in the past. Time consuming though. Good luck!!

Set the template up with two RSVPs to a sheet and print them that way. Email me if you’re still having trouble with that and I’m happy to help you. 🙂
