buckeyebee:  I love our magnets,  so do guests and they were dirt cheap about 10 cents each. Wood slices with a magnet glued on. You can order online for more money of course. Not mine but an example:

buckeyebee:  My Vistaprint magnet STDs were really cheap. I think they were on sale. They came out great. Have you checked there?

buckeyebee:  I know I’ve seen at walmart where they have business card magnets (not sure the exact price, but I think its pretty cheap) and you can print a save the date business card size and attach (the magnets are adhesive). Not sure if that’s the look you’re going for, but it might be something to look at, depending on how DIY you want to go.

I ordered mine from wedding paper divas (I had bought the 50% off groupon)

We got a graphic designer friend to make a design, and then we printed them through vistaprint with 20%, had we waited like 3 more days we would have gotten 50% (they always have sales). Vistaprint magnets include envelopes. 200 STDs were like $140 with 20% off.

Vistaprint is frequently doing sales and the quality is worth it. I think 100 magnets would have cost ~$75. We only did 50 as we are only sending them to out of town guests/family and we paid ~$40 – including envelopes and the cost to ship them to us.

I just checked, and I paid $45CAD before tax to get 100 STD magnets from Vistaprint in the fall.

I also did vistaprint magnets, and they turned out great.  Do a google search for a promo code and you’ll probably find a good one.  I paid $39 for 100.
