I’ve been waivering back and forth between sending Save-The-Date Cards and not sending them. I love the idea of them, I just don’t love the idea of paying for all that postage twice. I talked it over with my Maid/Matron of Honor and mom, and we decided to just send them to out of state guests, and people who live nearby, but whom we don’t neccesarily talk to on a daily basis, or even weekly. This cut the number a good bit. So, after toying around with the idea for a couple days, Bridesmaid A and I decided to make up some of our own in Photoshop and see what we could come up with, since most places to order from have a minimum order and we were well below that number. Extras are nice, but not that many lol.
Last night after a trip to Hobby Lobby A and I sat down in front of her IMac and got to work. [well really, she got to work. I just approved colors and fonts. I’m so useless when it comes to that sort of thing] I wanted to tie in our Wizard of Oz theme, without giving away too much of what we were doing. We ended up making two different items. First, is just a standard postcard with the info on it. We originally we going to include a picture of M and I, but with the background we chose, it looked a bit out of place. So, we opted to do a second version. It’s smaller, about business card size, and we’re going to turn it into a magnet [hopefully anyway] Here’s pictures of the finished results. They’re just a first draft.. we might make a few tweaks here and there.
What do you guys think? I’m open to any feedback and opinions!
