- Wedding: October 2013
This is my first time posting! I couldn’t refrain myself from posting my DIY Save the Dates since I’ve enjoyed looking at so many others!! My wedding theme is vintage & I will be getting married on a Disney cruise line in October of this year. I originally did not want to go through the hassle of making my own paper goods, but after looking at the cost & options out there, I felt like I had no choice, but to design them myself. I had a friend help me with the shaping & design on the boat, but all the other craziness is ALL from my head.
My idea was to create a vintage cruise poster look for one side & then a vintage postcard note for the other side. I wanted a little Disney thrown into the save the date, but not too much and also wanted a more grown up feel to the Disney elements of the STD. What do you guys think? Did I succeed?
I designed, formatted, printed, embossed, cut, & assembled all of my STD’s. Luckily it was only for (55)….but believe me that was enough & I haven’t even started the assembly on the invitations yet….this is really my first DIY project, so it’s definitely not perfect…
I welcome any commentary that you guys might have…good or bad, I know this theming is not for everyone!
Thanks for reading!
