magnets at vistaprint are very cheap, like $44 for 100. i’m not sure how much diy would be, but it would definitely be much less of a headache and probably not too much more expensive.

it might be less painful to wait for a zazzle sale. you should look at what the price difference is too – they have like weekly discounts so it might be more cost effective to do it through them or a similar site than it is to print out all of the pictures and then buy the magnets on top of that – it might add up. if you don’t have many too make though, i’d say you’re probably better off DIY-ing, but the price is something to check on anyway!

Never done it before, but sounds cute! I’d probably go to kinkos over walgreens, personally–the guys at kinko know (not much, but enough) more about that sort of thing than those at walgreens over here.

I’m guessing that the best way to cut the magnet material is to get a metal straight edge and an exacto knife. Don’t try to cut through on the first cut–just cut a little bit in a straight line and go back over it until you cut through. Unless there’s some glamorous crafting magnet-cutter I don’t know about…(you could use scissors, but my scissors are too precious to be ruined by cutting magnet material 🙂
