So here is a link to the Martha Stewart Boutonnieres that I have been wanting to make for YEARS! I tore this page out of the magazine a long time ago and have kept it.
See picture also. My problem is finding the right mother of pearl shell beads to do this project. I have ordered from Fire Moutain Gems twice and they have not been right. It seems to be the ONLY site I can find them on. Any ideas?

Have you tried craft stores?

I have tried several craft stores to no avail…

It seems like I have heard beware of Martha because she uses things that are hard to find. Maybe you could try to find a necklace made with beads you like and cut it up. One necklace should make a lot of buttoniers!

Have you tried http://www.Etsy.com? It’s mostly handmade goods, but there are many sellers on there that also sell crafting supplies. Perhaps they have it?
Another possibility- since mother of pearl is used in a lot of jewelry, what about checking out stores that cater to beading/jewlery making? If you go to a mom and pop place, they may be able to find them for you and special order them (unlike Michael’s and Save-On where they basically only have what’s on the shelf).
