I made a mock up my std, used an older picture and designed it in power point. Then printed it out on some cards that I bought on sale. 2 per card and then cut in half to the right size.
Then I cut some adhesive magnetic strips from a roll I bought at Michaels and adhered them to the back.. here is where I am stuck..does this look ok?
Do you think it will survive the post office?
Is there a better way to stick the magnets?

bump! I’m just excited to start printing the rest of them

have you looked into getting the magnet paper you can print on? I think the front looks great but the back looks a little… unfinished? I’m not sure how to describe it!

I agree that the front looks great. I think it would look better if you printed it on a sticker paper and then stuck it straight onto the magnet, cutting it out afterward. That way the magnet would cover the entire back of the std.

Yeah, I agree about the sticker paper thing. You would just stick the sticker on the magnet, then cut it out. That way, the sides of your totally cute STDs won’t get bent in the mail/once they’re on someone’s fridge!

I like it but you could make them a bit smaller (use thicker paper) then you could just use one magnet instead of two. You could also take out “save the date” and just put your names and the date bc i think most ppl will know that it is a std! hope this helps!

Looks great – I agree with PPs too. Not to be a pain, but is that a capital F on “Follow”? If so….well, it looks a little out of place, but mind you I don’t see very well and it’s a bit blurry in the pic so it could be a lowercase and if so then nevermind. 🙂

Are you planning to mail these inside an envelope? They will not work as postcards with the magnets like that.
I think that the front is great but the back a little unfinished looking. You could just skip the magnet part.

So I did some modifications.. this is what the final looks like (front & back)
I printed the front & back on seperate pieces and attached 4 small magnetic pieces to the four corners in between the front & back.
Thanks everyone for all the feedback. I am happy with the final results:)

I think it looks great with the modifications! =) Are the magnets still strong?!
Make sure you do some test runs before sending out!

yes they are, I tried it out on my fridge and I even mailed myself one to make sure it wouldn’t get messed up in the mail. All I did was cut 1/2″ pieces from a magnetic roll that I got from Michaels.
