I’ve always loved the ideas of blackboards scattered throughout the gardenbeds at our garden wedding and after having no luck buying even simple plain ones I decided to give it a go making them! I’m super happy with how they turned out. I bought a few gold frames (with dodgey icky prints in them) from a local market, took the prints and glass out and painted the backing with blackboard paint. They needed two coats. Once they were dry I just popped the backing back into the frame and TA DA! The finished result! Very happy!

I love those! I’m a huge fan of the blackboard paint, I used it to paint the top of a toddler table for all of FI’s neices. Just a little tip though use windex when you go to erase things cause if not you can still see what you wrote, and the chalk get’s smeary. But with windex it works awesome and we have been using it on the table for about 2 years now and the paint still looks great!

@MsBlueberryBee – thanks for the tip – I haven’t tried cleaning them off yet – bit nervous! Love the idea of painting a table top! Genius!
